7th December 2011 Education outside the Classroom On the 6th of December 2011, the middle team had an Education outside day. We meet in the hall; there were 100 year three and fours. I was tired and excited at the same time. To begin with we had a scavenger hunt. As soon as my group left the hall deck, heaven opened the gates and rain fell like hail on us. I ran to the stairs that we had to touch. Then we ran to the Barbier gardens because we had to find a three leafed clover. I heard Mrs de Farias call “We’re calling it off!” I ran back to the hall, I was totally saturated, so were the other year three and fours. So much the scavenger hunt. The bell rang for Morning tea. I dried off and after morning tea we all meet back at the hall. Now it was time for the hall activities. There was parachute, table tennis, crazy catch and lemon kissing! I didn’t like lemon kissing because we had to pass the lemons from neck to neck and my team lost. My favourite was parachute because at the end we formed a tent, by throwing the parachute up five times and running underneath and sitting on the sides. For lunch we had American hot dogs. They were better than my mum’s. (Ssshhh). After lunch we did shaping up, slalom course, lily pad hop and creature rescue. My favourite was the liliy pad hop , because we had to throw mats and try to get to the cones without touching the ground. At the end we all sat on the hall deck and there was a lovely surprise. Lemonade iceblocks for everyone! Yummy. Except for the rain in the morning, it was a great day. Next time I’ll bring an umbrella.!
